Technique

This terracotta pot is made of black, red and yellow clay which was collected in the form of small pieces from Rajasthan and Delhi. After collecting, these were mixed properly and dried in the sun so that any sort of moisture, if present, may evaporate. Then the mixture of wet clay is filtered though a fine sieve to remove pebbles. After giving shape to the item with the hands, it is dried in the shade. The item is then baked in the kiln.
